Rich, party girl Katie has been living the good life since
her birth. After her brother’s wedding
Katie finds a baby, Savannah, on her door step with a cryptic note. The note
states that the baby’s mother knows Katie
cannot have children and wants them and that the father is not ready to be a
dad. Yet the mother knows that Katie and
the father will be a happy family one day.
Katie decides to keep the baby a secret and track down the mother.
At the wedding Katie runs into Dean, her brother’s best
friend and her ex. Their past
relationship was a secret and the break up was not easy. When Dean finds out Katie’s secret, feelings
are found to still be there and start to sizzle. Dean decides to support her in the search to
find out what the story is behind the baby.
I did not like the giving up a baby and the keeping of
secrets. It was very hard for me to
accept Katie not contacting the police and making sure all was ok. As I kept reading I was able to accept how
this story started and get more into the story.
I was actually unable to put this story down, even though I could see
exactly where it was heading. It was an
exciting tale to follow to get to the ending.
Falling in love with the character was easy for me. Monica’s great support with Katie and
Savannah made her the “sister” everyone wants.
Katie and Dean were hot, but there was so much more to each to each of
them. Their support and need to know the
truth about Savannah, proved how moral and real their characters are.
Not Quite Mine is well written. I can guarantee that it will purl you right
in and you will be unable to put the novel down. I read it in less than twenty four
hours. The next in this series Not Quite
Enough will be out in the fall and I cannot wait to keep reading about these
characters.
