The
children of high profile Washington D.C. parents go to the elite high school
Georgetown Academy. This is the story of
Ellie, Brinley, Evan, and Taryn.
Ellie is considered part
of the power couple of Georgetown Academy. Until her ex boyfriend moves back to town and
turns her world upside down. She has to make some tough decisions all while trying not to
embarrass her Senator mother.
Brinley is of The
Madison family. Her father is a D.C.
insider. Brinley has an addiction
that could really ruin her family if it got out.
Evan is kind of the
outsider. She has no pedigree and
is on a scholarship to attend the high school. Always being the outsider until she gets a
boyfriend that brings her into the inner circle.
Taryn is laid back and
doesn’t really fit into her D.C. surroundings. She has her first D.C. gossip run in and
realizes that this world is not at all what she is use to and works hard to
keep her integrity.
I read this series of
four books in two days. Not familiar with the
characters or author I was unsure what to expect. What I got was a fast moving soap opera in a
book and I LOVED it! All four of the main
teenage girl characters were interesting and entertaining. Their loyalty to their families was my favorite
character trait that they all shared. This loyalty kept all the drama and craziness in check and
believable.
With each book the
reader had the choice of which girl to follow through the middle of the story,
like the old style choose your own ending story books. I loved that part. I went back and read all four girls stories and
really had no favorite, they were all amazing. Each girls story
told of the same event but with their own tiwst of the events. I enjoyed
seeing how each character perceived what happen at these high profile society
parties. I highly recommend going back and doing this to every book.
High school drama mixed
with politics is exactly what Georgetown Academy is . A prefect novel for a fun read. I highly recommend these novels.
